DERMAPLANING
Dermaplaning is a non-invasive exfoliation treatment that removes dead skin cells and peach fuzz from the epidermis, leaving your skin smooth, glowing, and radiant! Using a professional surgical scalpel, the blade is stroked along the skin, revealing a fresh layer and promoting a youthful glow. It’s the perfect treatment to add to your salon menu for clients looking to enhance their skincare routine and achieve a luminous complexion! This procedure does not require any downtime for recovery and is therefore extremely convenient.
Our comprehensive curriculum covers all aspects of the Dermaplaning process and treatment protocol. No previous beauty qualifications are required to attend this class, but having attention to detail, patience and a steady hand will be to your advantage if you want to excel!

Basic Starter Kit
Our training and kit fees are charged separately so you can customise your starter package depending on if you are needing products or not.
Students will be supplied with all the tools and products to work with during their practical training day, with the option of purchasing a starter kit to take home.

ONLINE PRESTUDY
Once enrolled, you will receive access to your online student portal where you will be required to familiarise yourself with the course theory and training video tutorials. Your access to the online course content will not expire so you are welcome to refer back to it as many times as you need pre and post training.
PRACTICAL TRAINING
All theory & video content will be recapped on during this full day class. You will then dive into the practical side of training whilst observing a live demo and completing the treatment on 3 models, all under supervision and guidance of your Educator.
THEORY ASSESSMENT
Post training, you will be required to submit a theory assessment via your online student portal. This is an open book assessment so you can refer to your training manual where necessary. Your Educator will mark the assessment and provide you with feedback.
CASE STUDIES
Practise makes perfect! You will be required to practise and perfect your Dermaplaning technique on 5 models of your choice. Refresher sessions can be arranged if you would like further guidance from your Educator whilst completing your case studies. All submissions must be made within 3 months.
FINAL ASSESSMENT
Once all your submissions have been made, you will attend your final assessment with your Educator. You must be able to demonstrate confidence working with your tool and blade, and achieve a smooth clean final result on your models skin with no nicks or cuts. Once your Educator is confidant with the standard of work demonstrated, your certificate will be awarded.
Income Potential
The recommended retail price for a dermaplaning treatment ranges between R400 – R900.
The average cost per treatment is R30. Your ideal price will need to be determined with your location, salon set up and level of experience in mind.
The products supplied in the Basic starter kit can yield a profit as per the below example.
